Grown up Girl's Room

One of my first client's was a very smart and design savvy 11 year old. Laura is the daughter of one of my best friends. She was full of energy and excitement and had a vision for her room. I put together a Pinterest board for her and we discuss many possible ideas. With help from me and her Mom here is the end result.

It really is amazing what a little paint can do to transform a room. Laura picked out the blue as a starting point and we went through many inspiration pictures to find the look she wanted. The family went away on vacation this summer for a week and when they arrived back the room was ready as a surprise for Laura. Such a fun project to work on and Laura's Mom said her room has never been cleaner!

Paint colours are Peony (2079-30) and Chantilly Lace (2121-70) for the stripped wall and Jamaican aqua (2048-60) for the other walls. If your interested in painting stripes on your walls, check out this great tutorial by Honey We're Home

Elms Hallway

One of my best friends Wendi was looking for some help with her hallway. After an initial consultation on likes/dislikes, I created a Pinterest board for her with various ideas to try and get a feel for what she was looking for. After a few conversations on the look she was going for I created a Design Board for her. With this board to go by she was able to take ideas and work with them over time. I have to say she did an excellent job! Here is the result:

The Design Board I created for her:

Wendi took the ideas we talked about and implemented them herself, she even applied the wallpaper! The Design Board is meant to give you an idea of what your space could look like. It doesn't have to be exactly the items suggested but it gives you an idea of what to go shopping for.
