Dining Hutch

I love to paint furniture and almost anything from lamps to countertops! One of my favorite projects I have completed is my Moms hutch. When we moved in our home we used a lot of my Mom's and Dad's old furniture. Here is a picture of their hutch.

First I painted this hutch black and my husband made new slab doors and changed out the top crown. After a while I got tired of the black and decided to transform it again.

I painted the hutch Great Barrington Green (HC-122) by Benjamin Moore and took off the doors. I also added a piece of wood between the top and bottom of the hutch.

Dining Chairs

Here are a set of dining room chairs we reupholstered for a client before Christmas. We ordered fabric samples though toniclving.com and my client decided on Framework, Ironstone. My husband was definitely the strength behind the staple gun in this project. Here is the before and after.

Corner Display Bookshelf

My son had so many books and I had no where to store them in his room. I found this idea on Pinterest.com and had my husband built it in the corner of his room. It is great because the boys can see their books and pick them off the shelf themselves. The only problem I have had with the shelf is my now 3 year old like to haul the dowels out and use them as swords! Oh the life of boys! Click over to Handmade Charlotte for more cleaver ways to store and display your child's books.
